Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 12, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the NorthMap Learning website and any inquiries, registrations, and educational services offered by NorthMap Learning Inc. (“NorthMap Learning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website, contacting us, or participating in our courses, webinars, masterclasses, intensives, and related educational programs (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the website or Services. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms and Eligibility
By using the website or Services, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are under the age of majority in your province or territory, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms.
These Terms apply to all visitors, prospective learners, learners, and organizations requesting program details or participating in training delivered by NorthMap Learning.
2. Educational Disclaimers (No Guarantees)
NorthMap Learning provides educational content and instruction. All materials, sessions, examples, and feedback are provided for educational purposes only. Participation in our Services does not guarantee any particular outcome, including employment, promotion, income, certification, academic results, or professional qualification.
- No financial, career, or professional guarantees are made; outcomes depend on participation, prior knowledge, and context.
- Experts may participate as invited specialists depending on the program; their views are their own and may not represent a formal position of their employer or organization.
- Any references to tools, platforms, or third-party products are provided as examples and are not endorsements unless explicitly stated.
Where a program references a rubric, learning objectives, or an outline, those are instructional goals and not a promise of individual results.
3. Description of the Services
Our Services may include online courses, live webinars, masterclasses, intensives, office hours (when listed), written learning materials, and related support. Programs typically specify lesson length, expected weekly effort, prerequisites, and whether a replay is available for a webinar.
The website may describe subject areas such as AI foundations, programming (including Python and JavaScript), languages (including English, Arabic, and Mandarin Chinese), and digital workflow skills. Availability, schedules, and formats may change over time based on instructor calendars, cohort sizes, and content updates.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the website or Services at any time. When changes materially affect an active cohort or scheduled webinar, we will aim to provide reasonable notice using the contact details you provided during registration or inquiry.
4. Registration, Inquiries, and Communications
You may request program details or registration instructions through our contact form. You agree to provide accurate and complete information and to keep it current as needed for us to respond. We may rely on the information you provide to communicate with you about schedules, pricing, logistics, and next steps.
By submitting an inquiry, you consent to receive communications related to your request. Marketing and advertising-related cookies or tracking (if used) are governed by your cookie preferences and our Privacy Policy. We do not require you to accept non-essential cookies to access the core information on the website.
We may use reasonable measures to protect forms from automated submissions, including bot-detection challenges (such as reCAPTCHA or equivalent) at the time of submission. If a challenge is triggered, you may be asked to complete an additional verification step before your request is processed.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the website or Services. In particular, you will not (and will not attempt to):
- Access or use the website in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- Provide false, misleading, or impersonated information in forms, emails, or communications.

- Interfere with normal operation of the site, including by excessive requests, denial-of-service attempts, or abuse of forms.
- Use the Services in a way intended to infringe intellectual property rights or confidentiality obligations.
We may suspend or restrict access to the website or Services if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or created a security or operational risk.
6. Intellectual Property

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the website and Content for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, upload, post, transmit, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or exploit any Content except as explicitly permitted in writing by NorthMap Learning.
If you are provided with downloadable materials as part of a program, those materials are licensed to you for your personal learning use. You may not resell, share, or publicly post program materials or recordings unless we have expressly authorized it in writing.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The website and Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NorthMap Learning disclaims all warranties and representations, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that any content will be accurate, complete, or current. Educational content may include simplified examples or general guidance that may not apply to every situation.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will NorthMap Learning Inc., its directors, officers, employees, contractors, or instructors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the website or Services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the website or Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to NorthMap Learning for the applicable Services in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $150.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct where such limitation is prohibited.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NorthMap Learning Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and instructors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the website or Services; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party; or (d) content you submit through forms or communications to us.
11. Force Majeure
NorthMap Learning will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside its reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, pandemics, war, terrorism, labour disputes, governmental actions, power outages, internet or telecommunications failures, cloud service disruptions, or cyberattacks.
12. International Use
NorthMap Learning is based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We make no representation that the website or Services are available, appropriate, or lawful for use in every location. If you access the website from outside Canada, you are responsible for compliance with local laws to the extent they apply.

15. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the website or Services at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the website, or created a security risk. Termination does not limit any rights or remedies available to NorthMap Learning under law.
Sections relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law will survive termination.
