Quick guidance before you pick a program

Most questions fall into three buckets: fit, logistics, and expectations. Fit is about prerequisites and outcomes. Logistics is about schedules, webinar access, and how registration works. Expectations is the unglamorous part: how practice tasks are assessed, what instructor feedback looks like, and what “completion” means.

Across our catalog, we keep the same teaching habits. Objectives are written as observable outcomes. Practice tasks are short and repeatable, with a rubric that makes feedback less subjective. In language sessions, that rubric often looks like accuracy, range, and fluency in a specific scenario. In programming and AI, it tends to be correctness, readability, and a minimal verification step (test cases, prompt checks, or documented assumptions).

If you are comparing a course and a webinar, treat the webinar as a guided walkthrough with Q&A. A course is better when the goal is consistent practice and feedback. When in doubt, send your current level and timeframe using the form below and we will recommend a starting point.

A realistic expectation setting

Courses are designed to create repeatable skill habits, not instant transformations. Instructors can review work and correct misconceptions, but progress depends on attendance and completing practice tasks. That is why we publish objectives, prerequisites, and time expectations for every program.

FAQ topics

Questions are grouped by how people actually decide: format, scheduling, learning expectations, and privacy. If you need a detail that depends on a specific cohort date, send a request and we will confirm availability.

What is the difference between a course, an intensive, a masterclass, and a webinar?
A course is a structured, multi-session program with practice tasks and a documented syllabus. An intensive compresses learning into a tighter schedule with more frequent sessions. A masterclass is a focused deep dive into a single topic or workflow. A webinar is designed for a guided walkthrough and Q&A; if replay access is included, it is stated on the webinar details.
How long are lessons and how long do programs run?
Most sessions are 60–75 minutes. Typical courses run 2–3 weeks depending on the cohort schedule, while intensives may run more frequently for a shorter period. Each program’s outline includes expected weekly effort and the number of sessions so you can plan realistically.
How do I confirm the right level for language programs?
We confirm fit using a short description of your current level and what scenarios matter (work emails, meetings, travel, study). In practice, we map goals to measurable targets and recurring error patterns. If you have an existing level estimate, you can share it, but it is not required.
Are there prerequisites for AI or programming tracks?
Some tracks are beginner-friendly and some assume basic concepts. We state prerequisites in plain language and keep them practical (for example: comfort with files and folders, basic spreadsheet use, or familiarity with variables and simple loops). If you are unsure, tell us what you have done so far and we will recommend a starting module.
How does registration and purchase work?
Start by requesting details through the form. We reply with upcoming dates, pricing in Canadian dollars (CAD), and the purchase steps for that specific program. If a program includes limited-seat live sessions, we confirm the schedule and logistics before finalizing registration.
Do webinars include recordings or replay access?
Some webinars include replay access and some do not. When a replay is available, the access window and any restrictions are stated on the webinar listing or provided in the registration email so expectations are clear.
What support is included during a program?
Support is listed per program. Common forms include in-session Q&A, short written guidance on practice tasks, and occasional office hours when stated. We also keep response windows explicit so participants know when to expect an answer.
What does “practical assignments” mean in your courses?
Assignments are short tasks that mirror real work. In languages, that may be a timed speaking drill plus a concise writing task. In programming, it may be a small script, code reading, or a debugging checklist. In AI sessions, it is often prompt design plus a verification step and a short write-up of limitations.
What data do you collect and how do cookie preferences work?
We collect the information you submit in the form (name, email, selected program, and optional message) to respond and share registration details. Separately, the website uses cookies for essential functionality and, only with consent, for analytics and marketing measurement. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time using the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer.
Do you offer team training for Canadian organizations?
Team training is possible as a webinar series or an intensive. Send the topic, time zone, and approximate group size. We will suggest a schedule, a scope, and what materials or examples would make the sessions more relevant.
If you need a document for internal approval, we can share a program outline that lists prerequisites, learning objectives, time expectations, and what deliverables are reviewed.
